What is this pattern and why is it important? This map illustrates the congressional district area of representatives who recently voted to overturn election results. On January 6-7, 2021, 139 members of Congress voted to object to the Electoral College count, hours after a violent failed coup attempt to overturn a free and fair election. The red areas of this embroidery represent the congressional districts of those 139 representatives. Use this embroidery to educate, inform and most importantly, if you live in the map pattern’s red area, let’s get involved: donate to challenge their campaigns, support organizers within your community, call, write and, of course, vote.
